For years I have gotten met parts from metropolitan restoration because they sell parts in complete kits making restoration easier, their prices and shipping are comparable to other suppliers and reasonable in cost. The parts are high quality whether they are pre-bent brake lines that fit perfectly into factory retainer clips, or fabricated brackets for repairing an emergency brake handle. Everything fits well and looks correct. Finally I had a slight issue with a part, so I contacted MRS about it, and they fixed the problem no questions asked and I received a replacement in a couple days. They always make you feel good and never talk down to the amateur home restorer.
I have never been disappointed when dealing with MRS! My only disappointment was when I contacted them near the very end of my restoration and discovered what I'd missed. Anybody can have parts on the shelf for sale but when I talk with their staff, I feel like I'm talking to one of my garage buddies. Thanks, MRS!
I’ve been restoring a 1955 Nash Metropolitan for my father-in-law. We purchased the car mid last year and have been working on it as time permits. Chris at Metropolitan Restoration Service has be working with me providing tidbits of technical advice that can only come with years of hands-on experience. We’ve discovered that the Technical Service Manual (as good as it is) misses some of the finer points as we get into more the more detailed portion of the restoration. We’ve done steering, horn, turn signals, front end, floor pans to date and could not have accomplished the repairs (correctly) without the guidance Chris has provided. One phone call can save hours of frustration – not to mention $$.
The parts shipments are neatly packaged, shipped on time and never a mistake!
Several years ago I purchased my first Metropolitan, a 1959 24,000 mile convertible. Not having any experience with METS I needed more than just parts, I needed advice. MRS, Inc has everything I needed, the quality is superb and they ship quickly. Most importantly, every time I called for advice they ALWAYS had time to help me. Keep up the good work guys!
With owning 4 totally restored Metropolitans ranging from 1954 through 1960 I found MRS to be an excellent source for parts and information. Paul and Chris have always been there to answer questions and to supply needed parts. Without dedicated people like the Reeders, our fine cars wouldn't look and run as they do. Prompt shipments are another plus for them.
Chris and Paul always give me more than parts. They know my car and make sure I’m getting the right thing by asking questions and LISTENING TO THE ANSWERS. On several occasions they’ve uncovered details I hadn’t considered. I love having an expert look over my shoulder to help me get it right. Met Restoration is my go-to place for parts. It’s also my go-to place for troubleshooting. Chris and Paul have helped me solve many problems by asking questions and suggesting troubleshooting steps. They really know Mets inside out.
I’ve been buying parts for my 1959 Metropolitan from MRS for over a year now, and I am very pleased with the service and quality of merchandise I have received. Most parts were in stock and backorders were handled efficiently. When I double-ordered a part, MRS gave me credit for the return with no hassle. They even searched for a used part that they don’t stock, found it and shipped it to me. Chris and Paul have been very responsive to my questions, giving helpful advice with a patient and friendly attitude. Dealing with MRS is one of the best aspects of restoring this special little car. I look forward to continuing the relationship until the car is finished – and I know the Reeders will celebrate with me. Thanks for all of your help.
I bought a significant amount of parts from MRS to restore a trophy winning Metropolitan Hardtop. All the items were of top quality and everything fit and worked exactly as it should first time, from complete interior to rubber parts, to new electrical harnesses to rebuilt mechanical parts like carburetor, speedometer and starter. Paul and the boys were very helpful with their knowledge and expertise plus were patient with all my questions during my entire project. They definitely know their stuff! I have two more Metropolitan projects in the wings and will definitely be sending more of my business their way for those as well!
I have been buying Metropolitan parts from Metropolitan Restoration Service for 6 years. Although I have other choices I have found that I can rely on Paul and Chris to get me the right parts and information I need to do the job right the first time. Their shipping is great as parts arrive in great condition. They are my number one choice for Metropolitan Parts.
I would like to take this opportunity to thank you and your company for the superior service that was provided to me in the past year. The professionalism, knowledge, and especially the customer service was the finest provided in my restoration project. I placed several large orders during my restoration project and had only one part that had to be returned with no questions asked. Parts were always in stock and shipped the following day. I would like to direct my gratitude and appreciation especially to Chris for his knowledge of Nash Metropolitan parts and his abilities to communicate with the customer in a positive manner.
It was a pleasurable experience dealing with your company.
Metropolitan restoration service has always been there with the right part and plenty of advice on how to do things correctly. (This is important because I have been known to attach things upside down and backwards). Parts are shipped quickly and returns are handled with no problem. Paul and his team take their time in answering questions and I've always felt like I'm a valued customer--even though I haven't been within 500 miles of their shop.
I've had a great experience ordering from this company they offer outstanding service and prices. Shipping is always on point it's a safe and great place to order all your Metropolitan restoration parts from.
Metropolitan Restoration Service is our go to folks for all of our Metropolitan needs, whether it be for parts or advice. They always have the parts we need, at a reasonable price and they are always willing to provide expert advice with problems we encounter. And shipping to us in Manitoba, Canada is super quick.
Several years ago I purchased a used-and-abused 1961 Metropolitan convertible with the intention of restoring it for my wife. Since I knew nothing about Metros, I gathered manuals and began a search for parts suppliers and services. During this effort I discovered Paul Reeder and his sons at Metropolitan Restoration Services, Inc. What a great find! Over the course of the rebuild they were extremely helpful -- providing invaluable technical advice and spot-on answers for even the most arcane questions. Their parts were of very good quality and fairly priced.
My wife now has a jazzy little pink Met convertible that took Best of Show in a recent open show. Thanks, Paul!
The quality of parts I have received have been exceptional. I have been ordering parts for a 1960 Met for the past 2 1/2 years and have received everything in a timely manner and at prices that I am able to afford. As far as customer service many companies should take a lesson from Chris and Paul, You guys are awesome.
I am not the best mechanic around so I have had problems finding help on the internet with restoring my Met. I have had to call MRS Inc on several occasions with questions and Chris has been there with the help I have needed. Thank you.
I have worked with MRS for past 2 years getting advice and parts while I restore my 1957 metro. They have been great. Parts catalogue is complete and easy to read. Shipping is quick and on time. All the parts I have received have been top quality and they stand behind their products. I would recommend without hesitation.
As you probably know, I've been dealing with MRS for 8 years, and my Dad has dealt with you for many years prior to that. In all those many years, we have always been pleased with your products and services.
Usually I talk with Chris when I phone in a question or an order. He is a terrific representative for MRS - polite, friendly and very knowledgeable - and he doesn't oversell ! I know I can trust his advice.
So Paul, I would like to thank you and Chris and your entire crew for the many years of dependable service. When my family thinks of Reeder, we think of knowledge, quality and honesty!!!
Keep up the good work!
I'd like to tell you about a recent experience I had. Our 1958 Nash Metropolitan had a leak in the front. We took it to a radiator shop, and they said it was the hoses. They said they would call around the local parts stores or maybe fabricate something to fit. But I said, no thanks, "I'll call Reeders". In about 3 days the radiator hose kit with clamps was received and delivered to Southern Radiator. The mechanic phoned me when the job was finished and said, "I don't know where you got these parts but you got some good stuff - really good stuff"!!! When we picked up the car, the owner also commented, "boy those parts you got are really top shelf"! I said, "they're from Reeders!!!"
Your firm is an excellent supplier with a wonderful reputation and excellent service. You should be proud. Your expertise and your knowledge on specific cars is most impressive and helpful. I am loyal to your firm, as you stock the parts I need, ship promptly; and I know the part will fit and function as required. I have completed major overhauls on four Metropolitans, and you have assisted me greatly.
Your firm is my first choice in all parts you offer for our hobby. It has been an honor to work with you for many years. I hope to do a major overhaul on one or two more Metropolitans, and look forward to working with you in the future.
Please pass on this note of thanks to all at Metropolitan Restoration Service Co.
I wish you the best.
Thank you Paul and Chris for all your knowledge, help, parts, and honest answers to my questions this past year as I continue to make a 6 month daily driver of "Foxy Lady," a true pun for an odd looking car. I have been doing this since '65 when I bought my '40 Ford (still have), the '55 GMC (just turned 310k miles under my 21 year ownership), the '56 Continental Mark II, the '68 AMX (bought new for racing but converted to street in '87), and my '89 GMC (bought new). Despite all these, I am still surprised when something I hadn't considered fails. I am always grateful to find a parts vendor with the advice, recommendations, and service so I can continue this lunacy. At age 70, I'd be lost trying to figure out how to operate a high-tech dash. Give me a key, starter button, and 3 levers for heat, defrost, and fan and I'm a happy camper.
